Aaron Sorkin Submits Script for Sony’s Steve Jobs Biopic

In a report announcing HBO had signed The Newsroom to a third and final season, Variety also confirmed Aaron Sorkin has submitted his script for Sony’s Steve Jobs biopic.

With the season three order now official, Variety has also confirmed that Sorkin has turned in script for Sony’s Steve Jobs biopic, which Sorkin was tapped to pen in spring 2012.

Sorkin was chosen to pen the Sony flick back in May of 2012 while Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has been a ‘tutor’ for the movie. The latter decided to join the Sony biopic, opposed to the Ashton Kutcher film Jobs, which Wozniak referred to as inaccurate and “crap” (we didn’t think the movie was great either).

Previous interviews by Sorkin revealed the film will feature three 30-minute scenes in real-time focusing on the original Mac, NeXT and the iPod. Stay tuned for what many are referring to as the ‘real’ Steve Jobs biopic.
