Apple: Fix Coming for iOS 7 ‘White Screen of Death’ Reboot Issue

Just two days after we brought up the issue of the random reboot issue within iOS 7, Apple has confirmed to Mashable it has a fix coming, for the so-called ‘white screen of death’ (not to be confused with the iOS 7 ‘blue screen of death’).

Apple spokesperson Trudy Muller told Mashable:

“We have a fix in an upcoming software update for a bug that can occasionally cause a home screen crash,”

Despite the release of iOS 7.1 beta 4 to developers on Monday, the random reboot issue still persists and has not been addressed. Our non-scientific poll asked if you have experienced a random reboot issue within iOS 7; out of 422 votes, 72% of you answered ‘yes’, while 28% said ‘no’.

So if you’re still dealing with this ‘white screen of death’ issue within iOS 7, rest assured a fix will be coming shortly in the next iOS update.

Hmm. The fix isn’t addressed in 7.1 beta? This could further support how Apple is losing in the customer satsifaction front,

Like we said, this was not fixed in the beta. Of course, we’re right again 😉
