Apple TV Reportedly Will Add Gaming Support in Spring Update

Could we soon see the Apple TV become a gaming machine? According to ‘reliable industry sources’, iLounge report an update arriving in March or earlier will bring support for games along with Bluetooth controller options:

iLounge has heard from reliable industry sources that Apple TV will soon be getting proper game support in an update, likely to come in March or earlier. We’ve heard that developers are currently working on Bluetooth controller options, and it’s expected that games could be downloaded directly to the Apple TV rather than relying on another iOS device as an intermediary.

A developer told the site the current generation Apple TV could have backward-compatible game support, but storage could be a problem, hence the expectation iCloud would come into play. At CES 2014, we saw a couple iOS Bluetooth gaming controllers debut–possibly conveniently timed ahead of this supposed Apple TV update?
