Meet Lunecase, The First Intelligent iPhone Cover [Kickstarter]

Lunecase, a new Kickstarter project, is an intelligent iPhone case powered by electromagnetic energy, that receives notifications from the iPhone. The case identifies when you receive a message or a phone call before it is even displayed on the iPhone’s screen, and shows these notifications on the back of your iPhone with the help of LEDs.

The Lunecase does not have any batteries inside the case or any connections with the iPhone. It uses the free energy that is emitted by the device, converting it from the natural iPhone’s electromagnetic energy into a usable energy to power the notification system embedded in the Lunecase. The snap on case however operates on GSM networks only.

Here’s what the developers of Lunecase say about their innovative product:

“There is so little electro-magnetic energy outside of modern smartphones that it seemed impossible to transform that energy into something useful. We have filled the Lunecase with the technology needed to capture and utilize these electromagnetic waves, but the Lunecase can still protect your smartphone from light damage, because primarily it’s still a protective case for the iPhone made from durable material.

Our top priority was to create a functional and intelligent case that still looked sleek, chic, and preserved the aesthetic lines and contours of the iPhone. The case is innovative, intelligent and hi-tech, and we still succeeded in keeping the Lunecase an elegant, ergonomic and a good-looking accessory for your iPhone!”

The campaign has already raised over $74,000 though its initial funding goal was only $50,000, with 35 days more to go. You can make your Kickstarter pledge at this link.

I used iCarbons, tough as hell, but still thin like the shield, and I get to have different colors, but yeah most cases are to think, Caze is the only exceptions. And this is GSM only

I use the invisibleSHIELD Glass on my screen and invisibleSHELD Original on the back of my phone. Still protects it from drops and you can’t tell anything is on my phone.
