Fuse Chicken Shares New Stunning iWatch Concept Images [PICS]

Jon Fawcett, a designer at Fuse Chicken, has released new concept images of what he thinks Apple’s iWatch may look like.

The new concept images show what Apple’s rumoured wearable device may look like if it has a round display, similar to the display Motorola chose for their newly released Moto 360 smartwatch.

Fawcett has created the renders in a way that showcases the device’s simple and elegant design, which is what Apple’s design team has been known for in past products. In an interview with Cult of Mac, Fawcett said:

“Apple has never been a company to add technology just for the sake of claiming it on a spec sheet. Apple’s history is that technology merges into a seamless experience with the design. This led me to a watch concept that maintains the centuries-old watch form factor merged with technology into an experience that is both incredibly powerful yet intuitively simple and familiar.”

Apple will take the stage on September 9 at the Flint Center to announce the next-generation iPhone. Several rumours predict that Apple will include the introduction of the iWatch next Tuesday, however the product may not ship until early 2015.

That’s not stunning.

Please provide an example of what you consider stunning. This is one of the nicer “concept” renders.

How about you provide examples of how this is stunning. I see an ugly round disk with a plastic band that has an integrated home button. If I were to buy such a watch I want it to resemble regular wrist watches and not look like an over thought computer on my wrist.

But what is a smartwatch if not a computer on your wrist? The same way that the iPhone is a computer in your pocket. Just as phone calls is just a feature (app) on your iPhone, I’m willing to bet telling the time will be just a feature (app) on the mythical iWatch.

Obviously that is what the smart watch is, a computer on your wrist. Having said that, it doesn’t have to look like computer, and that’s my point. iPhone certainly does not look like a MacPro or MacBook. Just because it functions like a computer doesn’t mean it has to look like one. A smart watch should look like a watch and have the functions of computer.

Explain how an iconic round dial-face with analog style numerical display of the watch looks like a computer?

Well for starters the giant Apple logo in the middle. Also the heavy brush metal sides and the home button interested into the band.

Home button aside, I’d say this render looks more like a watch then the actual iWatch that was just released.

Looks stunning to me. My favourite concept so far.

For me the most interesting thing about this rumoured watch is not going to be what it looks like but how it works. How Apple chose to design the OS to work in such a small space as well as any potential new sensors the device is equipped with.

Will they allow us to use the unambiguous Canadian/ISO 8601 format yyyy-mm-dd? See your Ont Drivers license or OHIP CARD. What they show could be US or British Format. 08-09 can be Aug 9 or Sept 8.

Of course.

Looks like a simplistic toy. The huge Apple logo and the intermixed text and numbers must be a joke. And a watch calendar rarely shows the year. And I can’t help but wonder where the minute hand is. This is the reason I rarely look at these silly concepts. I’ll go back to ignoring them now.
