When Apple announced the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, it also reduced the price of the existing iPhone 5s to $99 (16GB and 32GB only) and iPhone 5c to $0 (8GB only) on contract in the U.S. But that doesn’t necessarily always translate to the same pricing in Canada, as we’ve seen with unlocked prices here.
Canadian carriers including Rogers, Telus and Bell have bumped up prices to start at $149 for the 16GB iPhone 5s and $29 for the 16GB iPhone 5c on two-year terms.
With Rogers, they do have the 8GB iPhone 5c for $0, but the 16GB version is now $29.99.
With Fido, the 8GB iPhone 5c has not arrived—yet:
Telus though has the iPhone 5s at $100 and the iPhone 5c at $0 on as ‘limited time offer’, but the regular prices will most likely reflect $150 and $30.

If you’re set on signing a contract for an iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c, some better deals might come around the holiday shopping season, in particular around Boxing Day. So you might be better off waiting.
