Steve Jobs Biopic Filming Begins at Jobs’ Childhood Home [PICS]

The upcoming biopic about Steve Jobs that was written by Aaron Sorkin has entered production, with the film crews setting up at Jobs’ childhood home in Los Altos.

According to a report from CNET’s Shara Tibken, the crew started filming on Friday afternoon. Tibken was on scene at the house on Friday morning, watching as the production team transformed the garage into what it might have looked like in 1976, when Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak were working on the Apple I computer.

Kate Winslet, known for her role in the Titanic, is currently set to play the lead female role in the Jobs biopic. Jeff Daniels will play the role of former Apple president John Sculley. Michael Fassbender will play the role of Steve Jobs and Seth Rogen will play the role of Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.

The Jobs biopic, which is now owned by Universal Pictures, is based on Walter Isaacson’s biography of Steve Jobs. The movie will be divided into three main parts, each of which take place backstage before an iconic product announcement. The first part will cover the introduction of the Macintosh, which Jobs famously debuted at an event on January 24, 1984. The second part of the movie is said to cover the period in time when Jobs left Apple and started NeXT.

The third part will cover the introduction of the original iPod, which was introduced by Jobs in 2001. The original iPod became the number one selling personal music player and along with the introduction of iTunes helped revolutionize the music industry.

Haven’t we already seen this movie? I don’t understand why there is another movie based on the same book.
