Check Out The Poster Apple’s Lead Designer Has On His Wall [NSFW]

The New Yorker recently profiled Apple’s lead designer Jony Ive, which is a great read for designers and Apple fans. One of the most interesting bits of information about Ive is the rather colourful (and maybe a little offensive) poster on his office wall.

For any one who does not want to read the poster in all of its detail, here is the text with any profanity edited out:

“Believe in your f***ing self. Stay up all f***ing night. Work outside of your f***ing habits. Know when to f***ing speak up. f***ing collaborate. Don’t f***ing procrastinate. Get over your f***ing self. Keep f***ing learning. Form follows f***ing function. A computer is a Lite-Brite for bad f***ing ideas. Find f***ing inspiration everywhere. f***ing network. Educate your f***ing client. Trust your f***ing gut. Ask for f***ing help. Make it f***ing sustainable. Question f***ing everything. Have a f***ing concept. Learn to take some f***ing criticism. Make me f***ing care. Use f***ing spell check. Do your f***ing research. Sketch more f***ing ideas. The problem contains the f***ing solution. Think about all the f***ing possibilities.”

The posters are available for purchase from the Good F’ing Design Advice store for $100. The store even offers a “family friendly” version of the poster, which presumably drops any profanity. The creators and designers of the poster say that it will “provide a sense of purpose and class to your workspace.”
