Rumour: iOS 8.2 Release Coming Next Week Followed by iOS 8.3

BGR reports the public release of iOS 8.2 could be coming as soon as next Monday, according to sources:

…we’ve been told that iOS 8.2 is finally moving to the release stage. Barring any last minute problems, I would expect to see iOS 8.2 released this coming Monday, or the following week at the absolute latest.

Jonathan Gellar writes there may be as many as four beta versions of iOS 8.3, which would mean two more betas would be released following iOS 8.3 beta 2 from last week, which contains over 300 new emojis—plus the Canadian flag.

Apple’s upcoming special event on March 9 will most likely reveal Apple Watch pricing, shipping times and availability. Expect fast tracked versions of iOS 8 to be released to support the new wearable, as developers have had access to the WatchKit SDK since iOS 8.2 beta last fall.
