Apple TV’s First Exclusive Channel: Fashion Network ‘Made 2 Measure’: NYT

A new Apple TV is coming and will be unveiled during Apple’s special event, set to take place in under an hour. Will Apple be able to debut its cable TV replacement? Probably not, but there could be some other channels available.

For this new device, the New York Times reports Apple has landed its first exclusive channel—fashion network Made 2 Measure (M2M), by WME/IMG, the entertainment and sports management company that owns New York Fashion Week:

A few weeks after the ready-to-wear shows end in October, WME/IMG will debut its first-ever network in an exclusive deal with Apple TV — the first such Apple exclusive. Entitled Made 2 Measure (M2M), the all-fashion channel will stream on demand, featuring an original M2M documentary series on designers, industry issues and trends, as well as classic fashion films and documentaries and new looks at the shows that took place at the WME/IMG venues.

The new Apple TV is said to run its own operating system dubbed ‘tvOS’, boast newer hardware, support Bluetooth controllers on top of having its own motion sensitive controller, plus have a reported focus on gaming with its own App Store, and a starting price of $149 USD.

Apple’s iTunes chief Eddy Cue has already seemingly confirmed something TV-related is coming, tweeting “It’s a big day for the big screen!”:

Stay tuned, we should find out soon enough!
