iOS 9.1 Beta 2 Allows Enabling of Rogers and Fido Wi-Fi Calling
Rogers and Fido customers (that are also developers of course) on iOS 9.1 beta were unable to activate Wi-Fi Calling when the carrier launched support for the feature with the launch of iOS 9.0.
Some had to downgrade to iOS 9.0 to try the new feature, but with today’s release of iOS 9.1 beta 2, developers can now activate Wi-Fi Calling:

Wi-Fi Calling allows those in areas of poor cellular connectivity to still make and receive calls and text messages when connected to Wi-Fi networks.
Bell will launch Wi-Fi Calling support this Friday, but only for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus users (Rogers supports iPhone 5c models or newer). TELUS has said it will not support the feature “at this time.”
Thanks Troy!

Does WiFi calling affect data at all? I’m with fido btw
Only your home internet data cap, if you have one. It should not effect your monthly bill, say for if you have a plan that still has a limited amount of minutes
If you want all the details for Fido…

this would solve a lot of problems for WIND
With this latest beta, I now have the screen to enable wifi calling but can not get it to work.
– I slide the toggle over,
– i agree to the terms and conditions,
– It tells me wifi calling has been added to my service
– I enter the required information for E911 address, press the continue button at the bottom, it validates the address and i click on the recommended address.
– It then goes back to the screen with the wifi calling toggle which is not enables
So I turn off cellular data, reboot and try to enable it and now it tells me ” Sorry we are unable to process your request at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again later.”
Anyone else have problems enabling this feature?
