Sony Unveils DualShock 4 USB Wireless Adapter for Mac, PC

Sony announced today it has launched a new dongle, called the DualShock 4 USB Wireless Adaptor, which brings the controller to Mac and PC users, coming in early September priced at $24.99 USD:

This adaptor will let you connect a DualShock 4 to PC and Mac wirelessly, and will enable every feature of the controller you know and love: buttons, analog sticks, touch pad, light bar, motion sensors, vibration, and stereo headset jack – as long as the gaming application supports these features.

The company explains the controller will benefit PS Now players on their computers, but it also extends the experience of PS4 Remote Play on PC and Mac—now with wireless controllers.

Sony also announced PlayStation Now is soon coming to the PC, first launching in Europe and next in North America.

As for PS Now coming to the Mac? The company said “We are evaluating Mac support for PS Now, but have nothing to announce at this time.”

Earlier this year, Sony announced it would soon bring its games to iOS and Android.

Not all PC’s come with bluetooth and I’m not sure how much support the DS4 had when connected. My brief search of google seems to point to it working best with a third party driver/software that made your DS4 look like a XB controller.

Now I’m going to have to hook mine up when I get home and see, not using the controller for anything else anyways.
