Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 7 at its media event on September 7. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has released a fresh batch of claims this week about the iPhone 7, some of which were rumoured before but some are new.
Kuo claims that the new iPhones will come with Apple’s A10 chip, which will be substantially quicker than the A9 chip found in the iPhone 6s. The new chip will reportedly be clocked at 2.4 Ghz. The device will also reportedly come in two new colours, “dark black” and “piano black”, making for a total of five colours with the classic silver grey being retired.
Kuo has also predicting the iPhone 7 will come with the same IPX7 water resistance rating as the Apple Watch. IPX7 allows a device to last for 30 minutes under one meter of water.
The analyst as also confirmed that the 3.5mm headphone jack is indeed going away and the larger 5.5-inch iPhone will come with a new dual-lens camera. The Plus model is also rumoured to contain an extra GB of RAM when compared to the smaller model (3GB vs. 2GB).
Kuo also believes that the new iPhone will come in new storage options, with the 16GB and 64GB options being ditched. The new iPhone will come in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB storage options. Kuo also said that there will be numerous minor upgrades.

Serioulsy Apple, bring something refreshing and new. iOS is boring as hell. I see no reason to upgrade from my iPhone6 if it comes out like that.
