Samsung Canada Working with Health Canada to Expedite Recall of Galaxy Note 7

Samsung launched their Galaxy Note 7 just a few weeks ago, and the launch didn’t go as smoothly as the company may have hoped. There have been several reports of exploding batteries, which prompted the company to launch a global recall for the affected units.

Shortly after Transport Canada told users to avoid bringing the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on flights, Samsung Canada announced that it had begun working with Health Canada to complete the Note 7 recall as quickly as possible. This follows the announcement of battery cell issues related to the Galaxy Note 7 late last week.

Canadian customers who have purchased the Note 7 can get more information from Samsung Canada, with more details set to be announced about the recall shortly.

Only a specific set of SKUs are affected by problem, and as of September 6th, Samsung issued a press release urging users to stop using affected devices and obtain a replacement phone. Customers can visit in order to begin the exchange process.
