‘Shadow Fight 3’ Soft-Launches on iOS For All Canadian Gamers

Today Nekki’s long-awaited sequel Shadow Fight 3 soft-launched in Canada, reads a new report from Pocket Gamer, and all gamers located in Canada have access to the beta – no code needed.

According to information released by Nekki, the game will be set several years after the events of Shadow Fight 2 in a world overrun with Shadow Energy. The characters – both the protagonists and the enemies – have the ability to switch between normal and shadow forms; while in shadow form, characters will be able to use shadow abilities.

The players can create their own playable character and choose their name, as well as their gender. The players also can choose from three playable factions – Legion, Heralds or Dynasty – with each having unique powers, equipment, and fighting styles.

“The first thing you’ll notice about Shadow Fight 3 is that it’s dropped its defining aesthetic for a more familiar style fighter,” reads the report. “It looks like the team’s given up the ‘shadow’ side of things as contenders fight in full display. Though, given the fluidity of the trailer it’s hard to stay mad at something so good looking.”

Soft-launching a game before its official worldwide release has long been a practice used by developers to test out a game in a live market that’s not quite as big and intimidating as the entire globe but also much larger and informative than a smaller beta testing group.

Shadow Fight 3 is currently only available in Canada, so for those with a Canadian App Store account, click here to download it (866MB download).
