TechnoBuffalo has posted a full breakdown of the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus’ dimensions, citing a trusted a reliable source.
Here is a chart which shows the dimensions of Apple’s upcoming ‘s’ series smartphones compared to the current iPhone 7 and 7 Plus:
The difference in size will be barely noticeable to consumers, however, it is still an interesting difference to point out. One of the reasons for a slight increase in thickness could be for wireless charging capabilities.
Apple’s event to announce the new iPhones is reportedly scheduled for September 12, so we won’t have to wait too long to find out if the rumours are true.

Feet? Inches? Centimetres?
Units matter
It’s not either feet, inches nor centimeters. To anybody who ever saw an iPhone it is clear it couldn’t be 138cm high or 138 inches high. 138 feet would be awesome though 🙂 It’s millimeters and I’m sure you know it but just wanted to make a point. There is, however, something to be said about being able to deduce the implicit information from the context. I agree with you that units of measurement matter but we are becoming a culture that wants everything pre-chewed, easily digestible and directly delivered, without having to do at least some mental work ourselves. BTW, this is a general rant, in no way it is directed at you 😉
Mine was mostly a sarcastic attempt to nudge the writer towards improvements. Details like units of measurement are kind of fundamental, especially in an article that is about measurements.
I find too many young writers make lazy mistakes these days, mistakes that should have been covered in basic HS writing courses.
