Bell Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular Support for Manitoba Coming in December

Bell nabbed an exclusive Apple launch, when it was announced the company would be the only wireless carrier in Canada to support Apple Watch Series 3 cellular models.

Series 3 cellular support from Bell comes from their NumberShare feature, which links a users iPhone number to their cellular Apple Watch, at the cost of $5 per month via a Smartwatch Plan add-on.

Bell said back in September Apple Watch Series 3 cellular support was not available in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, because those provinces do not support VoLTE yet. However, that is going to change next month.

Within Bell’s Q3 earnings release today, the company quietly announced they would “become the only carrier to offer cellular service for Apple Watch Series 3 in Manitoba beginning in early December.”

So far, Telus is expected to bring support for Apple Watch Series 3 cellular users “later this year” (possibly in December), while Rogers has said Series 3 support “will be something we look at.”

For now, Bell can proudly say it’s the “only carrier in Canada to offer the complete line-up of the latest generation of Apple products,” which includes iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, Apple TV 4K and Apple Watch Series 3 cellular models.

How are you liking cellular coverage on your Apple Watch Series 3 model?
