Where is Freedom Mobile Band 4 and Band 66 LTE Available? [LIST]

Freedom Mobile launched iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus pre-orders last Friday for $0 on contract, with a debut set for December 8. These devices will work where the company’s Band 66 LTE is available.

The company also is offering iPhone SE, iPhone 6/6 Plus, iPhone 6s/6s Plus and iPhone 7/7 Plus as well, but only where Band 4 LTE is available, as the company refarms a portion of their existing AWS-1 spectrum.

If you’re trying to figure out where your iPhone will work on the Freedom Mobile LTE network, here’s a list of cities and what LTE networks are available. If you plan on choosing iPhone X or iPhone 8/8 Plus, you will require Band 66 (B66) LTE. An older iPhone model will require Band 4 LTE (B4):

As you can see, areas with both B66 and B4 coverage right now are still limited. We’ll be sure to let you know when there are more network upgrades.

If you’re in a major Freedom Mobile coverage area, it’s worth considering especially with the company’s aggressive $0 contract iPhone offers to compete with the Big 3 of Rogers, Telus and Bell. But if you’re on the fringes of network coverage, you may want to think twice.

Shaw says Freedom Mobile will complete their LTE network upgrades in Western Canada by early December, while Eastern Canada will see their upgrades complete by early 2018.

Your list is outdated Gary….Toronto now has B7, I’ll post a pic to proof it later on when I get to work. Your article mention older iPhone needs B4 to run LTE but I’m using iPhone 6 and definitely not on B4 but B7.

Some areas in Toronto already have B7, last week my iPhone 6 switched from 3G to LTE then did a quick check and saw it was connected to B7.

I cant wait for Edmonton to get Band7&13 LTE, i am pretty satisfied on my Everywhere50 plan that gives me free roaming across canada and the usa, plus i have wifi calling texts and mms on my unlocked LG G6 which makes coverage issues a thing of the past provided the wifi network i use doesnt block vpn connections

I have a Huawei P10 Plus and I live in Port Coquitlam, BC. Had it on 4G. Received a text message this morning saying Freedom is expanding its LTE in my area. Told me to follow instructions…my preferred network type has always been set to LTE/WCDMA/GSM Auto. I’m still on 4G. I’ve checked my APN settings, and nothing new to add.

Please help.

They have to be supporting B4 throughout Vancouver. I just got a Freedom SIM and oddly, the only phone it’s not showing as working in 4G/LTE is my iPhone SE… and none of the phones I have support B66
