“Everything we do is driven by our customers, and we are committed to enhancing our network with new technologies to meet their growing need for connectivity,” said Damian Poltz, Vice President, Technology, Strategy & Network, Shaw Communications, in a press release.

According to Shaw, Fujitsu’s solution offers “software-defined network control capability, network planning and design, network management, as well as service fulfillment and assurance functions.”

“Fujitsu has helped make our network more agile and scalable, especially in urban areas – which will allow us to continue delivering a seamless connectivity experience,” added Poltz.

Shaw recently was determined to be the second fastest ISP in Canada, according to the latest rankings by Ookla.

The company plans to raise residential Internet and TV prices this coming April, according to comments made by CEO Brad Shaw earlier this month.
