Following the launch of new retail kiosks in Alberta and Quebec earlier this week, Telus prepaid brand Public Mobile has launched its fourth location in Richmond, British Columbia.

Customers can now visit the new Public Mobile retail kiosk inside Richmond Centre, which like the others, will sell SIM cards and vouchers, plus offer activation. The kiosk tagline says “Saving money starts here,” as a way to attract mall customers.

These new kiosks include a bicycle which customers can pedal to recharge their cellphones. The branding reads, “Power your phone with your own two feet.”

The company first announced in February new branded retail kiosks were coming, marking the first time it has offered services outside of the online world and through retail partners such as Walmart.

David MacLean, General Manager, Public Mobile and Prepaid, told iPhone in Canada in an interview at the time, “we really believe this supports our ongoing efforts to make wireless convenient to Canadians.”

Public Mobile recently announced a handful of select 3G plans are set to disappear forever, starting on April 22, 2019.
