
Freedom Mobile Suffers Outage: Customers Can’t Make/Receive Calls or Use Data [u]
Shaw’s Freedom Mobile is currently dealing with a service outage, affecting both voice and data services for customers.
Numerous customers are complaining they cannot use data and also cannot make or receive phone calls. The outage comes at a busy time as customers out west are just starting their Monday workweek.
“We are aware that customers are experiencing interruptions to Voice & Data services. We are working hard to bring service levels back to normal. Our apologies for any inconvenience. We will update as soon as we have more information,” said Freedom Mobile on Twitter.
According to Downdetector, most outages are being reported from Toronto, Calgary, Ottawa, Edmonton, Mississauga, Brampton, Scarborough, Vancouver, Kitchener, and Hamilton. Comments are also showing outages are affecting those in Victoria, Windsor and Oshawa as well.
