
New Tesla Model Y On-Road Sightings Show “Wind Turbine” Wheels
There have been several on-road sightings of Tesla’s highly-anticipated Model Y crossover SUV in the past few weeks, including one black prototype on the streets of the company’s hometown, Palo Alto, California.
Now, a handful of more recent sightings shared by InsideEVs have potentially exposed some new details about the upcoming vehicle, including the elusive turbine wheels.

Back in May, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the advertised “wind turbine” wheels on Model 3 will be available as an upgrade from service but so far, they haven’t been available. However, they have just made an appearance on several Model Y pre-production prototypes seen on the road.
