On January 22, 2020, some Freedom Mobile customers suffered from a service outage and were unable to send text messages.
Now, it appears Freedom Mobile is offering goodwill credits to customers in response to the network issue.
“Thank you for messaging Freedom Mobile. Some subscribers are currently experiencing issues with SMS text messaging. We are aware of the issue and our technical teams are working to resolve it,” explained Freedom Mobile’s customer team.
According to RFD, users are saying Freedom Mobile chat representatives have been offering credits for the outage, with one user citing a $5 monthy credit for up to four months, or $20 total.
Others were able to get credits ranging from $5 to $20, while some were not able to get any at all. Ask and ye shall receive, right?
Let us know if you were affected by this outage and if you contacted Freedom Mobile by chat or phone.
