Shaw’s Freedom Mobile has launched a new annual plan for its prepaid unlimited talk and text offering, at $99 per year.
The $99 per year pricing works out to $8.33/month, which includes unlimited nationwide talk and global SMS/MMS. If you want data, it’s available for $15/1GB, available for 30 days.
“Pay for a year upfront, and save even more on your wireless bill. Add Data By The Gig2, when you need it,” explains the Freedom Mobile website.
Normally, the unlimited talk and text plan is $14/month, however, the prepayment option for the annual plan works out to $8.33/month, saving you $69 per year.
This plan may be handy for those just needing an extra phone for talk and text but no data. When you’re outside of Freedom Mobile network coverage, your phone will be roaming on a network from one of the Big 3.
