In his latest research note published earlier this week, veteran Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that Apple suppliers are gearing up for an unspecified augmented reality device in 2021. The analyst also noted that the much-awaited AirTags, new AirPods, and new M1 MacBook Pro will also release this year.

As per a Bloomberg report from June last year, Apple is working on both an AR headset and AR glasses. The report noted that the headset resembles a smaller version of Facebook’s Oculus Quest, whereas the glasses are much sleeker and lightweight.

The report has also claimed that Apple’s glasses would overlay information such as text messages and maps in front of the wearer’s eyes, and that users will be able to control the glasses with Siri.

Apple has not yet officially acknowledged the development of any such product.
