Telus-owned prepaid brand, Public Mobile, launched a promo on Friday offering a $20 bill credit on refurbished cellphone purchases.
One phone available is the ZTE Cymbal 2, a basic flip phone that is priced at $19. After purchasing this phone for $19, you’ll get $20 in bill credit, making it $1. Plus, you also get a free SIM card ($5 value at the moment).
The Cymbal 2 has a 2MP camera and offers up to 16 days of standby and up to 12 hours of talk time. This might make a decent backup cellphone for voice calls on 3G and 4G networks.
According to Public Mobile, the $20 bill credit towards certified refurbished phones goes until March 31, 2022. New customers will have until April 7 to activate a plan.
Public Mobile has refurbished iPhones available too, starting from $149 for the iPhone 7, $179 for iPhone 8, $209 for iPhone 8 Plus and $389 for the iPhone XR.
Yesterday, Public Mobile launched yet another 2GB data bonus, available for 6 months on plans $35 or higher.
