Apple Canada Removes All Traces of the iPod touch from its Website

Earlier this month, Apple announced an end of era, saying it has stopped production of its iPod touch, the last of its iconic iPod lineup. Supplies of the iPod touch were being cleared out off Apple.ca.

Now, Apple has officially sold out of the iPod touch and also removed all references to the iPod from its website, as spotted by MacRumors.

Searching for iPod on Apple’s website only brings up the final press release and links to the iPod touch are now gone. The only way to buy an iPod touch now is from authorized retailers that still have stock available.

However, if you navigate to apple.ca/ipod, you will be redirected to the iPod touch Support page, which still stands, offering instructions on how to use the device and iOS, along with links to the device’s user guide and tech specs.

“Music has always been part of our core at Apple, and bringing it to hundreds of millions of users in the way iPod did impacted more than just the music industry — it also redefined how music is discovered, listened to, and shared,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, earlier this month, adding, “the spirit of iPod lives on” through Apple Music integration on the company’s devices.
