Apple Unveils M2 Silicon Chip for the Mac: Here’s What’s New

Apple has unveiled its M2 chip for the Mac, the second-generation of Apple Silicon.
M2 is based on 5nm technology and has 20 billion transistors and has 50% more memory bandwidth than M1.
There is now a 10-core GPU in M2, up to 25% higher performance at the same power level as M1; up to 35% more performance at its max.
M2 offers essentially more power and uses less power when compared to PC chips.


M2 features the next-generation Secure Enclave and neural engine and media engine. Check out the new M2 features below:
