Public Mobile Boosts Mobile Klinik Rewards, Expands Device Offerings

Telus-owned Public Mobile launched Mobile Klinik rewards back in April, offering a way for customers to turn Public Points into more rewards for devices or repair credits.

Originally, the Mobile Klinik reward was a $130 discount on a certified preowned device and protection plan bundle. But a recent update at the end of May has boosted this to $150 off, while also expanded the eligible devices to:

  • iPhone 12 Series (excluding Mini)
  • iPhone 13 Series (excluding Mini)
  • Samsung S21 Series (excluding FE)
  • Samsung S22 Series (excluding FE)

Previously, it was just the main devices mentioned above and not the entire series.

When customers redeem rewards from the Public Points catalogue, they will receive an email containing promo codes for use at Mobile Klinik stores. At these stores, customers must also confirm their active Public Mobile status.

Starting in May, Public Mobile customers on the old rewards program will be automatically transitioned to the new Public Points program. The CCTS recently informed iPhone in Canada that they have received numerous complaints about this change.

In 2020, Telus acquired the Mobile Klinik repair chain for $165 million. At the time of the acquisition, Mobile Klinik had 80 locations across Canada.
