How to Watch Ubisoft Forward and What to Expect

Today, Ubisoft is hosting its annual Ubisoft Forward showcase. Outlining new game reveals, updates, and more, Ubisoft Foward will usher in a ton of announcements players can look forward to.
Ubisoft Forward takes place live in Los Angeles but is being live-streamed across the globe. Ubisoft has announced that its major keynote will offer “exclusive looks at Star Wars Outlaws, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, XDefiant, and more.” Beyond games releasing later this year, Ubisoft has the chance to detail what may be on the horizon as we head into 2025.
This year’s slate of Ubisoft games includes the highly anticipated Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The first of which is an action-adventure game set in the Star Wars universe developed by Massive Entertainment. Introducing Kay Vess who attempts to pull off the biggest heist in the Outer Rim, Outlaws is the first Star Wars game to be fully open world. Star Wars Outlaws is set to launch on August 30th.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows was first announced last month and is set in 16th-century Feudal Japan. The game features two protagonists Naoe, a shinobi Assassin and Yasuke, a real historical figure based on the first black samurai. Players will explore Japan while building their own spy networks and levelling up each character’s unique skill tree. Assassin’s Creed Shadows debuts later this year and will launch on Ubisoft+, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Amazon Luna, PC, and Apple silicon Mac.
On top of detailing upcoming games, Ubisoft has a number of recent titles that could see updates. This includes XDefiant, the free-to-play competitive FPS. Currently, in its preseason, XDefiant fans could see the roadmap paved for future classes, modes, etc. It’s also likely that we’ll see updates for games like Skull and Bones, The Crew Motorfest, and Rainbow Six Siege. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is also launching iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max today so perhaps Ubisoft will take a moment to highlight the game.
Looking ahead, Ubisoft Toronto recently announced it’s joining Ubisoft Montreal in the development of The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake. There’s been no release date set for the game and it’s been a while since we’ve seen the game in motion. Ubisoft Toronto is also developing a new Splinter Cell game, which could perhaps be shown as well. Players may also catch a glimpse of Assassin’s Creed Jade, the mobile game and The Division 3, which is in development.
Ubisoft Forward will be live-streamed across the company’s official YouTube and Twitch channels. If watching on the latter, viewers can gain access to up to nine Twitch drops. This includes a ‘Trailblazer Trinket’ for Star Wars Outlaws and ‘M60 Eruption Weapon Skin’ for XDefiant.
Ubisoft Forward begins at 2:30 PM ET/11:30 AM PT with a 30-minute preshow, focusing on updates for “live games.” Following the event, an aftershow will begin, offering a “deeper look at some of the upcoming games.”
