Maxed Out Apple Vision Pro Costs Nearly $7,300 in Canada

At WWDC24, Apple announced its Vision Pro headset is finally expanding sales outside of the U.S. for the first time.

Canada is part of a second batch wave of launch countries, with pre-orders set for June 28 at 5am PDT/8am EDT and the launch on July 12, 2024.

Apple Vision Pro pricing starts at $4,999 in Canada for the 256GB model, then it moves up to $5,299 and $5,599 for the 512GB and 1TB models, respectively.

What if you were to go all-in and jump on the most expensive Vision Pro with all the accessories and AppleCare+? That would mean jumping on ZEISS Optical Inserts ($139 for Readers; $199 Prescription) and AppleCare+ for $699. The total is $6,497 and after GST and PST in B.C., the grand total is a nauseating $7,276.64 CAD. That’s only $7,300 to watch TV by yourself as you ignore the world around you.

The U.S. starting price of Vision Pro is $3,499 USD, which after exchange works out roughly to $4,816. I guess Apple is just rounding it up to a nice number of $4,999.

But wait—Apple says you can finance your total before taxes at a 7.99% APR, at $293.80/month for 24 months ($7,051.19 financed).

Who’s buying Apple Vision Pro? You might have to give up one your kids this time around.

I hate this product. Along with artificial intelligence, it makes me scared of what's already here and what's to come.

Vision Pro is impressive but the first-gen price is pretty insane

Its impressive for AR, but the VR part of their Vision Pro headset, is a pretty poor excuse for VR. Apple needs more work on their Vision Pro platform.

It’s a product that perfectly illustrates why our society is going to hell. Most people can barely afford rent, while a small class of greedy people control all the wealth. We used to have a fair society but now Canada is becoming a poverty nation like the US.

Kids? Kidneys? Same same lol… because buying a product that expensive when it’s literally in beta is a smart move.
I’m sorry for those that actually are interested in buying it. Bless you with all your money and wealth, but me I’ll be taking several seats back.
