Apple Launches ‘Help Me Choose’ Webpage to Assist in Finding the Best Mac to Suit Your Needs

Apple has launched a brand new ‘Help Me Choose’ webpage, designed to help users choose the best Mac product for their needs.

The page is relatively new and is an offshoot of the official Apple website. When navigating to the page, Apple asks some basic questions to the user to help identify whether a MacBook may be best suited or perhaps a Mac desktop.

For instance, the first question asks, “What will you use your Mac for?” The user is then urged to select all that apply. Options include work, essentials, education, and creative hobbies. Users can then identify the daily essentials that are needed when using their new Mac device. These range from browsing to gaming, to streaming, and social media. Apple then pivots to workflow. Users can select options such as audio productions, creating documents, 3D design, and even coding.

Moving on, Apple discusses how portable the Mac needs to be and if it’ll be used around the home or during travel. Users will then select which accessories or peripherals will be used like external storage and displays. Finally, Apple asks users to select their budget. Options range from up to $1,000 to $3,500 and over.

Apple then filters through all of the answers to give the user a couple of options. For instance, I was suggested to purchase a 14-inch M3 MacBook Pro with 512GB based on my workflow, daily needs, and portability requirements. Based on the budget selected, Apple also suggested the M3 Pro MacBook Pro with 1TB SSD if I had a flexible budget.

The webpage also offers users colour options to choose from with the ability to shop and purchase straight from the results page.

It’s a pretty novel experience. Apple has such a wide catalogue that there are undoubtedly many users who suffer from buyer paralysis when looking at the virtual storefront. This is a great way to narrow down which product is best for your lifestyle.
