Public Mobile Debuts $29/20GB CAN-US Plan, Only in Quebec
Telus-owned Public Mobile has made its $29/20GB plan better by offering Canada-US roaming for talk, text and data.
The new plan that’s only available in Quebec looks to match a similar plan that has been available from Freedom Mobile since late December 2023.
The Public Mobile plan is available for a limited time and offers 4G LTE data speeds, at up to 100 Mbps. This is a decent plan if you travel often to the U.S.
Another promo plan available from Public Mobile right now that’s only in Quebec? The $34/50GB 5G plan now includes 10GB of extra data, taking it to 60GB total. So that works out to a $34/60GB plan (note this is not the Canada-US version of the plan).
Who’s switching over to this plan? It’s only available for new activations in Quebec.
You can click here to sign up for Public Mobile and get $10 in bill credits.

Would love to get this as a current customer. Any workarounds?
Leave public for a non Telus company like chatr or lucky with their $15 plan, join public back and either port your Quebec number, or get a new Quebec number and put a Quebec address.
I have to ask. Why? The $34 plan has 50GB of data for $5 more. This plan seems… dumb. The $34 has way more value.
I have the 50gb plan now, but don't even use 10gb of data a month. There's no point in paying an extra 5 bucks for data I don't use.
Use it and abuse it like a rented army mule son!!
