Google Announces Pixel Event for August 13

Google has announced it will be holding a special event in August. That’s according to invites it has sent out to media on Tuesday.

This Made by Google event will “showcase the best of Google AI, Android software and the Pixel portfolio of devices,” reads the invite, which says the event will take place on Tuesday, August 13. The keynote will start at 10am PDT/1pm EDT.

Google will likely unveil its Pixel 9 series smartphones and Pixel Watch 3 at the event. Typically, Google holds its Pixel events in October but this time it’s happening earlier in August, suggesting a launch that could coincide with Apple’s annual September iPhone event.

We’ve already seen renders leak of what claim to be the design of the new Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro.
