Apple Launches HomePod mini in New Colour

Apple has unveiled the HomePod mini in a new midnight colour, featuring 100 percent recycled mesh fabric.

Aside from the new black colour, the HomePod mini remains at 3.3 inches tall and nothing else has changed. Apple says acoustically transparent mesh exterior and backlit touch surface enhance its sleek appearance, suitable for any setting. In other words a black HomePod mini can now match your home decor better. The new colour replaces space gray, and it looks exactly the same.

The HomePod mini in midnight will be available starting Wednesday, July 17, alongside existing colours such as yellow, orange, blue, and white.

The smart speaker can be ordered for $129 CAD through apple.ca and the Apple Store app. It will also be available at Apple Store locations across the U.S., Canada, China mainland, Singapore, and 28 other countries and regions on the same date. Additionally, the new colour will be offered through Apple Authorized Resellers and select carriers, with prices potentially varying by location.

We’re surprised Apple didn’t introduce HomePod mini in midnight earlier, as this colour was available for the original HomePod 2. Back in 2021, Apple launched three new colours for HomePod mini: yellow, orange and blue. About 3 years later, we now have HomePod mini in midnight. Now that’s innovation.
