Virgin Plus Finally Matches All Plans from Fido and Koodo
Last week, Bell’s Virgin Plus tweaked its plans and pricing to almost match rivals Fido (Rogers) and Koodo (Telus), but now we’re seeing the same plans across the board, as expected (finally).
Here are Virgin Plus’ current plans for bring your own device:
- $39/20GB
- $44/40GB
- $49/60GB (after $5 off for 24 months)
- $65/75GB 5G
The $49/50GB plan was removed by Virgin Plus, while the $54/month plan now gets $5 off per month, taking it down to $49, but only for 24 months. The only plan still around is the $65/75GB 5G plan. Fido and Koodo don’t offer 5G plans (well, Koodo did at one point; some customers are still being offered 5G plans in their account).
Here are Fido’s current plans as of today:
- $39/20GB
- $44/40GB
- $49/60GB (after $5 off for 24 months)
Koodo’s current plans are as follows:
- $39/20GB
- $44/40GB
- $49/60GB
What does this all mean? The stage is set as we slowly make our way through summer and into the fall, leading up to Black Friday deals where these existing plans will magically get better. Let’s see if Big 3 flanker brands will match the $34/50GB 5G Canada-US plan first offered by Freedom Mobile, then matched by Public Mobile (Telus).
