Google Confirms Pixel 9 Pro Fold in New Teaser

The tech giant announced this new addition to its lineup as a “foldable phone built for the Gemini era” on social media, highlighting its advanced AI capabilities and innovative design.

The upcoming new model shares some similarities with the non-foldable Pixel 9 Pro, particularly in the prominent camera bump, which houses vertically aligned lenses positioned near one edge of the phone.

Despite the official announcement still pending, significant details about the Pixel 9 series have already surfaced, thanks to a massive leak from yesterday. The leak was further substantiated by Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC), which uploaded a series of photos of the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold to its archives.

One of the standout features of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is its repositioned selfie camera. Unlike its predecessors, the selfie camera is now embedded within the inner screen, offering a broader field of view. This design shift is expected to enhance the user experience by providing more screen real estate and a cleaner look.

Additionally, the display of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold boasts a reduced fold crease, measuring approximately 10 inches diagonally. This improvement addresses one of the common concerns with foldable devices, aiming for a smoother and more seamless display.

Google enthusiasts and tech aficionados are eagerly awaiting the official launch of the Pixel 9 series, which is set to take place during the next Made by Google event on August 13.
