iPhone 17 Lineup to Get Major Display Upgrades, New Premium Model
A trusted source, known as “Ice Universe,” has recently unveiled significant details about the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup, including the launch a new high-end variant, the iPhone 17 “Slim” (via MacRumors).

This information, shared on Weibo, sheds light on various aspects of the new models expected to launch in September 2025. Apple’s decision to revamp its iPhone series includes discontinuing the “Plus” model and introducing the new “Slim” version set to be positioned above the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
According to the leaker, the iPhone 17 lineup will consist of four models, each featuring LTPO displays. This marks a significant shift as ProMotion technology, with its variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz, will now be available across all models.
The detailed display sizes and expected U.S. pricing for the new iPhone 17 models are as follows:
- iPhone 17: 6.27-inch LTPO display, priced at $799
- iPhone 17 Pro: 6.27-inch LTPO display, priced at $1,099
- iPhone 17 Pro Max: 6.86-inch LTPO display, priced at $1,199
- iPhone 17 Slim: 6.65-inch LTPO display, priced at $1,299
The iPhone 17 Slim will reportedly feature a 6.65-inch display, making it slightly larger than the Pro model but smaller than the Pro Max.

The iPhone 17 Pro models are set to feature significant hardware upgrades. These models will boast 12GB of memory, a triple 48-megapixel rear camera system, and the A19 Pro chip, which will be manufactured using TSMC’s advanced N3P process.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Slim is rumoured to feature the same A19 chip, a dual-camera system, an aluminum chassis, and 8GB of memory. However, there is some uncertainty regarding these specifications as the new high-end model will potentially feature superior specifications compared to the Pro models.

Who's needing these 'slim' models? They need to fit the phone in their skinny jeans? lol. Just pack a bigger battery!
Heheh, that goofy notch at the top just doesn’t go away does it?
I wonder if it will be as slim as the iPhone 6 – because that went well :/
