Telus Lowers Pricing of 5G+ Plans by $10 Per Month

Telus continues to tweak its premium 5G+ plan pricing, this time lowering them by $10 per month on Wednesday.

Here are the changes below:

  • $80/150GB – 5G+ Premium Unlimited (was $90/month)
  • $95/200GB – 5G+ Premium Unlimited Canada-US (was $105/month)
  • $110/200GB – 5G+ Premium Unlimited Canada-US-Mexico (was $120/month)

telus plan changes july 2024

These 5G+ plans have download speeds up to 2Gbps, while perks include 12 months (the $95 plan) or 24 months of free Disney+.

Other 5G Essential Unlimited 75 plans have remained at $65 for bring your own device and $70 for phone upgrades, both with 75GB of data.

How does this pricing compare with Rogers and Bell? All three have a $65/75GB plan and $80/150GB plan. Bell has an $80/175GB plan, while Rogers has a $90/175GB plan. Rogers and Bell each have a $100/175GB CAN/US/MEX plan right now, while Telus and Bell have a $110/200GB CAN/US/MEX plan. Telus has a lone $95/200GB Canada-US plan. My head hurts.

Again, going with a flanker brand from the Big 3 such as Fido, Koodo and Virgin Plus will see lower cost plans. Who really uses 200GB of data per month?
