Fido and Koodo Launch $44/50GB Plan, Expect Virgin to Follow

fido koodo 44 50gb plan

Rogers-owned Fido and Telus-owned Koodo continue to tweak their plans, yet again.

The $44/40GB plan now has a 10GB data increase to 50GB for the same price. Fido is offering this in the form of a 10GB data bonus on top, while Koodo has just changed its data to 50GB total.

Bell’s Virgin Plus has yet to match the $44/50GB plan, as its $44/40GB plan remains. Expect them to follow suit, shortly, because we know how telecoms roll together.

Recently, Fido and Virgin Plus included US calling from Canada for their wireless plans. Select Koodo plans also include a long distance perk that has US calling.

Meanwhile, Fido and Koodo require customers to set up pre-authorized payments to get the advertised prices. This ensures the money keeps rolling in consistently and ahead of time for carriers.

The stage is set for some back to school offers in August and ultimately the feeding frenzy of Black Friday later this fall.
