Public Mobile has launched new promo plans branded as “back to school” deals. The promo says if you activate a plan $30/month or higher, you will get your third month free.
The deal is only available for new activations online “for a limited time.” The credit will be applied towards your third month of service. Public Mobile says the credit will expires if your account becomes inactive or you change your plan.

Gone is the $39/50GB 5G Canada-USA plan in BC. Only one 5G plan remains and you’ll need to pay $45 for it. All plans will expire on September 5, except for the $19 plan, so stay tuned for what’s next.
Update: Noted that the $39/50GB 5G Canada/USA plan is still available but only in Ontario.

Why bother. 4G? Freedom Mobile and PC Mobile both have 5G and Canada/US $35/50GB
PC Mobile also $29/20GB Canada/US and 5G
PC Mobile is 5G but calling is to the US only, not roaming in the US.
Freedom is lower priced but you have to deal with their subpar network if you are outside of a major metropolitan area.
