Virgin Plus Increases Plan Prices by $5, Matching Fido

After we told you about Rogers-owned Fido increased its prices on its website by $5 per month, we wondered which rival would follow suit next and that happens to be Bell’s Virgin Plus.
Here are the new prices as of today:
- $44/20GB (was $39/50GB)
- $49/40GB (new; was 60GB)
- $54/60GB (was $49)
- $65/75GB 5G
As you can see, the $39/50GB plan is gone, replaced by a $44/20GB plan, increasing the minimum starting plan price to $44 per month.
A new $49/40GB plan has appeared, which is the same price as before but with 20GB fewer data. The $54/60GB plan was $49 before.
Here is what Koodo has right now still—expect Telus to match the flanker brands of its rivals soon:
- $39/50GB
- $49/60GB
Raising these prices ahead of expected Black Friday deals in November will make the special promos look even better, right?
