Apple today has hyped up its upcoming iPhone 16 series pre-orders, noting that the ability to pre-configure your order ahead of Friday morning ends on Thursday night at 9pm PT (12am Friday ET). After this time, the online Apple Store will go down and you won’t be able to configure your order ahead of tomorrow morning’s pre-orders.
Available to order now is Apple Watch Series 10 and AirPods 4, along with minor colour updates to Apple Watch Ultra 2 and AirPods Max.
Customers can pick their iPhone 16 series device of choice, preferred payment method (including financing), then save it in their shopping bag so they can just one click to buy on Friday morning at 5am PT/8am ET. It’s surprising how Apple hasn’t pushed this method more explicitly in the past, as early adopters have been doing this in the Apple Store app for years.

Rogers, Telus, Bell and Freedom Mobile will also offer iPhone 16 pre-orders on Friday morning.
Apple will launch sales of its iPhone 16 series on Friday, September 20. But at launch, Apple Intelligence won’t be available just yet, as it will arrive in October with iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1, in US English. Canada will get localized English for Apple Intelligence in December.
