Wealthsimple Launches iPhone 16 Promo, Milestone Rewards

Wealthsimple has launched a new promotion for 2024, giving clients a chance to earn Apple devices by depositing qualifying funds. Both new and existing clients can join by registering through the Wealthsimple app or website.

You may recall last year, Wealthsimple had a similar Apple promo and offered up a free iPhone 15 series device.

Once registered, clients have 30 days to deposit at least $100,000 into Wealthsimple accounts, including Investing, Crypto, Save, or Cash accounts. The reward depends on the total amount deposited:

• $100,000–$299,999.99: Apple iPhone 16 (128GB, MSRP C$1,129) or Apple MacBook Air (13-inch, M2 chip, 8-core GPU, 256GB SSD, MSRP C$1,299)
• $300,000–$499,999.99: Apple iPhone 16 Pro (128GB, MSRP C$1,449) or Apple MacBook Pro (14-inch, M3 chip, 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 8GB memory, 512GB SSD, MSRP C$2,099)
• $500,000+: Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max (1TB, MSRP C$2,349) or Apple MacBook Pro (14-inch, M3 Pro chip, 11-core CPU, 14-core GPU, 18GB memory, 512GB SSD, MSRP C$2,699)

You need to have a huge amount of cash to get a free iPhone 16 series or MacBook Air or MacBook Pro, which works out to a 1% reward for the most expensive Apple product, or just under.

Participants can select their reward starting January 15, 2025. However, you need to maintain a minimum balance for 365 days after the deposit period to keep your Apple freebie. If the balance falls below the required amount, Wealthsimple may ask to recover the device’s cash value unless funds are restored. There’s always a catch for a freebie.

This offer applies to all individual and joint accounts, but GRSPs and LIRAs are excluded.

Wealthsimple Rewards for Premium and Generation

Wealthsimple has also launch some free perks called Wealthsimple Rewards.

Once you reach $200,000 in total deposits with Wealthsimple, you’ll unlock your first reward. Hit $300,000 to choose a second, and a third becomes available at $400,000. These rewards are yours for 12 months, after which you can either select new ones or keep the ones you already have.
