Apple Vision Pro to Launch in Two Additional Countries on November 15

Apple is launching its Vision Pro mixed reality headset in two new countries next month. On November 15th, the device will be available in South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.
Apple marketing head Greg Joswiak broke the news on X (formerly Twitter): “We’re excited that customers in a dozen countries and regions will get to immerse themselves in the world of spatial computing.”
A press release for the South Korean launch is also available. It notes that preorders for Vision Pro will be available starting Monday, November 4th, at 10 a.m. local time. In a separate press release, Apple highlights that pre-orders in the United Arab Emirates begin at 5 a.m. local time on November 4th as well.
To coincide with the launch of Vision Pro in South Korea and the United Arab Emirates, Apple has localized its Vision Pro and visionOS 2 pages in South Korea and the United Arab Emirates. As first noted by MacRumors, the pages offer new details on the headset in the lead-up to launch. For instance, customers can schedule a half-hour session at an Apple Store to get a Vision Pro demo. More details on this experience will be available following the start of pre-orders.
Apple Vision Pro launched earlier this year. In February, the headset became available in the U.S. before coming to Canada. It wasn’t until July that Apple brought the $4,999 headset to Canada. It’s now available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the U.K., China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore. With South Korea and the United Arab Emirates added to the fold, Vision Pro will be available in 12 countries and regions.
Recently, it was reported that Apple reduced its production of Vision Pro due to weaker sales. At the time, suppliers are said to have produced components for roughly 500,000 to 600,000 headsets. This is already after Apple began reducing production numbers in mid-2023, leaving manufacturers with a surplus of inventory. It’s believed that main supplier Luxshare is only producing upwards of 1,000 units each day.
