Telus-owned Koodo is offering up a Black Friday deal right now, where you can get Google’s Pixel 8a for free.
This Pixel 8a 128GB deal is worth $795, according to Koodo’s retail pricing. But Google’s own store is selling the Pixel 8a for $579 for Black Friday.
That being said, this Pixel 8a is $795 and comes with a $795 Tab Bonus, making the total $0. It’s available for new and existing customers and all you have to do is pay $15 for shipping.
You can see in the screenshot below shared by iPhone in Canada readers, such as those on the Koodo Black Friday plan from two years ago, can get this Pixel 8a for $0 with their $45/month plan. The $70 connection fee is waived for online purchases.
If you aren’t an Android user, you could theoretically flip this phone on Facebook if you have time, for $500-$600, then apply that cash towards a new iPhone or other smartphone of your choice.
Those wanting to jump on this Pixel 8a deal could also do so at Best Buy, Walmart, or Costco, then get bonus store gift cards on top. That will take time to deal with retail lineups though.
We might see better phone deals when the real Black Friday lands this week, so you may want to hold off before making a decision. Maybe we will see iPhone 12 or 13 for free?
