Rogers and Fido Promo: Huge Trade-In Bonus for iPhone and Android
Rogers and Fido look to have a huge online trade-in bonus promotion for iPhone and Android devices, ranging from $200 to $450 on top of estimates.
When you activate a new Rogers plan (EPP included) and get a new phone, trading in your existing device can get you a bonus on top, according to RFD:
- $200 Apple Trade Bonus: For iPhone 11 or newer, with Apple device purchases.
- $300 Android Trade Bonus: For Galaxy S9 or newer, with Android device purchases.
- $360 Samsung Trade Bonus: For Z Flip 3, Z Fold 2, Razr (2023+), Razr+ (2023+), or with Samsung device purchases.
- $450 Google Trade Bonus: For Z Flip 3, Z Fold 2, Razr (2023+), Razr+ (2023+), or with Google device purchases.
Some RFD members shared the following trade-in values for older iPhones, which are decent once you take into account the $200 bonus on top, especially on older models including the iPhone X and iPhone XS:
- iPhone 13: $290 + $200 bonus.
- iPhone 14 Pro Max 256GB: $770–$900.
- iPhone XS 64GB: $90 + $200 bonus.
- iPhone X: $270
When you apply a trade-in bonus online, you will get this value as a bill credit towards your next hardware purchase. Others said the trade-in bonus also applies when you try on the Fido website. Again, you’ll have to activate a new plan and phone, then apply your trade-in value as a bill credit. This means you can get a discount on a newer phone.
It’s unclear how long this trade-in bonus will last, but you can also try getting the trade-in at an authorized reseller such as Costco or Best Buy and get bonus activation gift cards. This looks to be a “your mileage may vary” deal so let us know if you’re seeing extra trade-in value credits on your older iPhone and Apple devices.
