Public Mobile Announces End Date for Canada-US-Mexico Plans

Telus-owned Public Mobile has updated its website to announce an end date for its Boxing Day plans, which consist of various Canada-US-Mexico plans that have talk, text and data across North America.

Here are the Canada-US-Mexico 5G plans that will now end on January 6—the last day to nab them:

The $29/20GB and $35/75GB Canada-US-Mexico 5G plans ended on December 31.

Public Mobile has also added a January 6 end date for the following 4G plans as well:

During Black Friday, Public Mobile added Mexico roaming for talk, text and data, matching Quebecor’s Freedom Mobile. The Telus sub-brand was the first of the ‘Big 3’ to add Mexico roaming. It’s unclear if this will stick around after January 6, 2025. If you’ve been thinking of getting a North American plan from Public Mobile, now’s the time to make a decision.

Earlier this week, we told you Rogers-owned Fido announced its Boxing Day ‘deals’ will also end on January 6, 2025.

I just came back from Mazatlan and had no problems with the service. It works great, just make sure you enable roaming.
