Apple CEO Tim Cook Donates $1 Million to Trump’s Inauguration: Report
Apple CEO Tim Cook plans to personally donate $1 million to support President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, according to sources, reports Axios.
Cook believes the inauguration symbolizes American unity and tradition, say sources. Apple, as a company, will not be donating.
The Apple CEO and Trump have shared a collaborative relationship over the years (even despite being called “Tim Apple” before by Trump).
Cook attended several meetings with Trump during his presidency and even joined him for a dinner at Mar-a-Lago recently. His willingness to engage with policymakers aligns with his philosophy of active participation rather than staying on the sidelines.
A recent Wall Street Journal story highlighted how Cook built rapport with Trump by focusing on single issues in meetings to avoid distractions. This approach earned Cook respect from Trump and other officials.
In 2019, Cook even gifted Trump a $5,999 Mac Pro made at an Austin factory in Texas they toured together.
Other tech leaders such as Amazon, Meta, and Uber have also made huge donations to the inauguration.

He can’t allow to be outdone by Bezos. Principles be damned. Smart move donating personally and not as Apple, though.
