Xplore Internet in New Norway Upgraded to 100 Mbps

Xplore continues to upgrade high-speed internet in rural Alberta, with the latest being in New Norway (just over an hour south of Edmonton).

New Brunswick-based Xplore says New Norway’s local tower now offers download speeds of up to 100 Mbps, to go with unlimited data. The company said on Sunday customers can now “stream, game, work, and learn without limits.”

Last month, Xplore similarly announced up to 100 Mbps speed upgrades for Brownfield, Alberta.

Back in September, Xplore announced it would receive $63 million from the federal and provincial governments to expand high-speed internet in Alberta. The telecom also offers satellite internet with speeds up to 100 Mbps, via the Hughes JUPITER 3, which was launched by SpaceX in 2023.
